Post 17: February 27,March 2

Biology:  Explain the terms climate and microclimate.  What are the earth's 3 main climate zones? (p430-431)

A and P:  According to the chart on p423, what are the 6 main parts of the upper respiratory system?

Med Tech:  Why is it important to understand that the earth is a giant magnet?  What do we have in common with the earth and why is this important, especially for what we are talking about?

Physics:  Explain what the electromagnetic spectrum is, it's components and how they move.

Astronomy:  Explain 3 properties of the earth in general.  Then explain 3 additional properties of it's interior and how these are determined. (In Earth properties notes)

Zoology:  Explain 4 basic characteristics of the Phylum Cnidaria.  (These are in your notes)

Astronomy:  What do you know about the 8 (9!) planets in our solar system?  Explain at least 5 things.

Zoology:  Find 3 things about cnidarians and explain them.

Astronomy:  How does the motion of the earth and tilt of the earth affect our days and night and our seasons?

Zoology:  Phylum Porifera contains the sponges and other similar organisms.  Do a google search of these organisms and explain 5 things about them.
