A and P:  Explain the breathing process (inspiration and exhalation).

Med Tech:  Explain the final 2 steps in MRI - acquisition and computing and display.

Physics:  Briefly explain the quantum physics principle of observational dependency.

Astronomy:  Explain the 2 causes of air motion as detailed in your notes.

Zoology:  Explain 3 things that you have learned about the classes we quickly discussed in class last week (platyhelminthes, nematoda, ctenophores...)

Post 19: March 5,6

Biology:  Describe what an estuary and watershed are.  Also explain each of the zones of a pond or lake. (p443-445)

A and P:  Describe the two physical principles that govern air flow into and out of the lungs.  Also briefly describe the volume and pressure changes responsible for one cycle of inspiration.  (p431-432)

Med Tech:  Describe the excitation and relaxation stages of the MRI procedure in layman's terms.

Physics:  Explain what a ray diagram is and how it can be used to predict what is seen in a mirror.  What are the rules for drawing reference rays?  (p449 and 455)

Astronomy:  Explain what causes the atmosphere to appear blue, the composition of the atmopshere and how it affects the surface temperature of the earth.

Zoology:  Describe 4 characteristics of molluscs.

Biology:  Describe each of the 4 zones of the ocean and where they are, what can be found there, as well as the appearance of the water. (p440-441)

A and P:  What are the main anatomical components of the respiratory system?  Describe each briefly.

Med Tech:  What happens to the hydrogen protons in a person's body when put into the MRI machine?  Also, why is it important to have a net magnetization?

Physics:  Explain the terms: reflection, angle of incidence, angle of reflection, virtual and real image.

Astronomy: Explain 3 things that you have learned about your planet.

Zoology:  How have cnidarians and ctenophores evolved beyond a simple sponge?  Explain at least 3 new characteristics not found in sponges.

Biology:  Explain the terms climate and microclimate.  What are the earth's 3 main climate zones? (p430-431)

A and P:  According to the chart on p423, what are the 6 main parts of the upper respiratory system?

Med Tech:  Why is it important to understand that the earth is a giant magnet?  What do we have in common with the earth and why is this important, especially for what we are talking about?

Physics:  Explain what the electromagnetic spectrum is, it's components and how they move.

Astronomy:  Explain 3 properties of the earth in general.  Then explain 3 additional properties of it's interior and how these are determined. (In Earth properties notes)

Zoology:  Explain 4 basic characteristics of the Phylum Cnidaria.  (These are in your notes)

Physics:  What have you learned, 3 things about physics, you can apply from minecraft?

Astronomy:  What do you know about the 8 (9!) planets in our solar system?  Explain at least 5 things.

Zoology:  Find 3 things about cnidarians and explain them.
